Blended Values

The system calculates the blended values based on data in the subsegment records linked to this supersegment. These Blended values are used by default as the PCI values for the supersegment during a model run.

Field

Source

Blended PCI

For each Subsegment, the system calculates the Inventory PCI x Total Area. The system then sums these values and divides the sum by the total area of the Supersegment. This new value is the blended (or average) PCI.

  • Blended PCI = [Sum of (Subsegment Inventory PCI * Subsegment Area)]/(Total Supersegment Area)

B Load Factor

B Non-Load Factor

B Environ Factor

The Load, Non-Load, and Environmental Factors are carried over by the system from the PCI tab of the related Field Inspections. These represent the sum of the Final Deduct values from the Distresses tab for each Load, Non-Load, and Environmental Distress Type.

Note: The Factors (not Ratings) are used by the model run when the "Combination of PCI and Factors" is set to Required in the Rehab Per Pavement/Classification module.

B Structural Factor

B Roughness Factor

The Structural and Roughness Factors are carried over by the system from the PCI tab of the related Field Inspections. These represent the user-entered Initial Strength and Initial Roughness PCI values.

Note: The Factors (not Ratings) are used by the model run when the "Combination of PCI and Factors" is set to Required in the Rehab Per Pavement/Classification module.

B Load Rating

Ratings = (B Load Factor * Supersegment Area) / 10,000

B Non-Load Rating

Ratings = (B Non-Load Factor * Supersegment Area) / 10,000

B Environ Rating

Ratings = (B Environ Factor * Supersegment Area) / 10,000

B Structural Rating

Ratings = (B Structural Factor * Supersegment Area) / 10,000

B Roughness Rating

Ratings = (B Roughness Factor * Supersegment Area) / 10,000

Note: Each distress can be assigned to one of the factors listed above (load, non-load, environmental, etc.) in the Pavement Setup, Pavement Distresses module.

Note:  If all of the fields are blank and have yet to be calculated by the system, use the Toolkit function to make the calculations.
