Attributes Tab

This tab allows you to associate the asset with a roadway, road segment, and road ramp. You can also locate its position along the roadway using linear reference points and X/Y coordinates as well as identify any applicable sub-type, district, sub-district, yard, direction, and location. Additional numeric fields are provided to document the asset's length and area. Several of the fields in this tab have special functions. These are described below:

Field Name

Function

Road Rec ID

To associate the asset with a roadway from the Roads module, click on the Road Rec ID button or press F9 to access the pick list. Once you select a roadway, the associated road number will be automatically populated by the system.

Road Seg Rec ID

To associate the asset with a segment from the Road Segments module, click on the Road Seg Rec ID button or press F9 to access the pick list. Once you select a road segment, the associated alternate ID will be automatically populated by the system.

Road Ramp Rec ID

To associate the asset with a ramp from the Road Ramps module, click on the Road Ramp Rec ID button or press F9 to access the pick list. Once you select a road ramp, the associated alternate ID will be automatically populated by the system.

Original Station

(Beginning and Ending)

These fields are provided to identify the original beginning and ending stationing points and are generally recorded in feet. They do not necessarily reflect the location of the Reference Posts. These are numeric fields designed for linear referencing.

Current Station

(Beginning and Ending)

These two read-only fields are used by the system to reflect changes from the original stationing points. Changes are recorded in the associated Roads record when a road is contracted or expanded. If changes have been made and are not yet reflected in these fields, you may need to run the "Update Stationing" Toolkit function in the Roads module. Follow the link for additional information
