Lucity Desktop System Setup

In order for the integration between Lucity Desktop and Eden to work, several Lucity Work Options must be selected. While individual options are also discussed in the related Eden Integration topics (see the links at the bottom of the screen), the options listed below should be enabled for general integration purposes.

1. Open Work > Administration > Work Options > General Options from the desktop main menu.

   

2. Turn on the following options.
   (Enter Edit mode . Then, right-click on the option and select Edit. Enter "Y" in the field provided and click OK.)
   • Auto-Change WO Dates to Match Task Dates
   • Populate Resources from Crew
   • Populate Resource Dates from Task Dates
   • Populate WO Acct # from Main Task #
   • Populate Empty WO Task Acct # w/ Main #
   • Enforce Resource End Date = Start Date
3. Open Work > Administration > Work Options > Financial Integration tab from the desktop main menu.

   

4. Turn on the following options (in orange above).
   (Enter Edit mode . Then, right-click on the option and select Edit. Enter "Y" in the field provided and click OK.)
   • Eden Parts Integration
   • Integration of Eden Financial Accounts
   • Use Partial Defaulting for Accounts
   • Use Partial Defaulting for Project Num
5. Enter the appropriate number for the following options (in green above).
   (Enter Edit mode . Then, right-click on the option and select Edit. Type the number in the field provided and click OK.)
   • Eden Account Number Levels - Refers to the sizes or levels and delimiter defined within the Eden General Ledger Number parameters for Expenditure accounts. To find this information, look for the current fiscal year's definition in Eden at the following location: Administration > Common Controls > Number Parameters > QBE for type "ex", current year (e.g. 2007).
   • Eden Project Number Levels - Refers to the sizes or levels and delimiter defined within the Eden Project Accounting Number parameters for Project Expense strings. To find this information, look for the current fiscal year's definition in Eden at the following location: Administration > Common Controls > Number Parameters > QBE for type "pe", current year (e.g. 2007).
   • Project Number Delimiter - Refers to the sizes or levels and delimiter defined within the Eden Project Accounting Number parameters for Project Expense strings. To find this information, look for the current fiscal year's definition in Eden at the following location: Administration > Common Controls > Number Parameters > QBE for type "pe", current year (e.g. 2007).
   • Account Number Delimiter - Refers to the sizes or levels and delimiter defined within the Eden General Ledger number parameters for Expenditure accounts. To find this information, look for the current fiscal year's definition in Eden at the following location: Administration > Common Controls > Number Parameters > QBE for type "ex", current year (e.g. 2007).
