Prefixes

The Prefix is any word other than a Direction that appears before a Street Name.

Prefixes are often used for non-English street names. For example, in these street names, the Prefix is highlighted in green:

• RUE TRANQUILLE
• RUE DE LOMBARDS
• AVENIDA FELICITA
• AVENIDA DE LA ESTRELLA
• CALLE PRINCIPAL
• CALLE DEL MONTE

When users create a street in the Street Name List, they select the Prefix from a predefined pick-list. The pick-list options are established in the Street Name Prefixes module.

How To Access

To open the Street Name Prefixes module, select General > Street Name > Prefixes.
