Mill Tax Details Grid

This grid records all mill levy details for this facility or building.  To add a mill levy record to the grid, complete the following steps:

  1. Right-click in the grid and select Add Record.  The following window will appear:

  2. Enter a code and description in the Tax Authority field. 

    Note:  This is required in order to save the record.

  3. The Appraised Value reflects the current property amount and will automatically be entered by the system.  This is carried over from the Valuation record corresponding to the Entity Type, Asset Code, and Year in this record.
  4. Enter the property tax and/or mill levy rate in the Rate field.
  5. The Tax Amount will be automatically calculated by the system.  This field multiplies the Appraised Value by the percentage in the Rate field.
  6. Enter Units and Cost Per Unit in the fields provided.  
  7. Click to save the record.
  8. Click to exit Add Mode.
  9. Click to close the window.

    Notes: The system will automatically add each mill tax entered in this grid to find the total amount of taxes due.  This sum will be found in the Fees Due field on the General tab. To recalculate the total amount due (including interest) after an additional mill levy record is added, press F5 with your cursor in the Full Due field while in Edit Mode. You can use the functions in the Mill Tax Details grid to view, edit, or delete existing tax records.  When tax records are deleted from the grid or edited and then saved, press F5 with your cursor in the Full Due field to recalculate the value.
