Struct Structural

The Structure (Struct) Structural tab features three different factor types that are used to determine the overall structural number (found in the TV Inspections module under the Summary tab). These Factor types are: Matrix Factor, Item Type Factor, and Defect Type Factor. Each defect has a severity and density.

Structural

The following equation is used to determine the structural number:

Matrix Factor * Defect Type Factor * Item Type Factor = Structural Number

Example

If the Wall was assigned a Broken/Missing defect with Severity of 2 and a Density of 3, then the Structural Number assigned to the defect is:

3 (Matrix Factor) * 2 (Defect Type Factor) * 4 (Item Type Factor) = 24(Structural Number)
