How to Close a WO

  1. Click on the module toolbar. The following window will appear:

  2. You can choose to view the related work orders in either the Work Orders - Standard module or Work Orders - Lite. Highlight a listing and click Button OK. The selected module will open to the number of records indicated.
  3. Use the navigation buttons on the module toolbar to view the work orders in the set.  

    Note: These buttons will be available only if there is more than one related work order.

  4. Close each one of the work orders by changing the status to "completed."

    Note: If you set the status as "completed", save the work order, and the work order is missing required data related to a preventative maintenance item, the numeric code 948 - Missing Required Data will automatically appear in the Status field.  You will then be prompted to enter the missing data. You will be able to change the work order status to "completed" once you have filled in the missing data.

  5. Click to close the Work Order module.
  6. Now the status of the PM should read "Awaiting WO Generation".  You can continue to edit the PM schedule using the instructions found in the Editing a PM topic.
