Est Duration (in Days) field

Enter the number of hours this work should take.

How it is used

• This is added to the work order's Start Date (WO tab) to calculate the Projected Compl (Costs tab). This helps agencies to see what work is overdue.

Populated from the Main Task

• If this field is blank it is automatically populated from the Main Task > Est Task Duration field.

Calculating this field based on work history

This field can also be automatically calculated using the actual duration of past work orders.

• This is done using the Calculate Average Duration from WOs for Filterset toolkit.
• The tool will collect all of the PM's associated work orders that are closed and have an Actual WO Duration (Hrs) > 0.
• If the number of work orders is equal to or greater than the Enter the Minimum Number of Linked WOs required to update the Est Duration Work Option the tool will continue.
• The Actual WO Duration (Hrs) fields are added together for the collected work orders.
• The total is divided by the number of collected work orders.
• The average is placed in the PM's Est Task Duration field.
