Split Process within the Desktop Application

The following is an overview of the split process within the desktop:

• If the pre-split segment’s ID is not being re-used for either of the streets, perform a street renumber on the existing street.
• Create an intersection inventory record (if applicable)
• Create a new street segment inventory record
• Populate the new street segment attributes
• Split subsegments
• Update subsegment numbers for the existing street segment
• Update subsegment numbers for the new street segment
• Associate documents to the new street segment
• Update street curve (STCURVE)
• Update Construction records (if option was checked)
• Update Work Orders (if option was checked)
• Asset/Task associations are carried over to the merged pipe
• Any previous asset costs AS_WOCOST and AS_UNASGNCOST are only associated to one of the pipes
• Update PM/Work Template records (if option was checked)
• Update Master Project records (if option was checked)
• Update Routes
• Update Structures
• Update street name fields for the existing street segment
• Update street name fields for the new street segment
