Merge Process within the Desktop Application
The following is an overview of the merge process within the desktop application:
- Create a new sewer pipe record in the desktop.
 - Copy attributes to new pipe record
 - Associate documents to new pipe record (if not archiving)
 - Update address associations (CMADDR)
 - Update Basin (SWBASINOUT)
 - Update Flow Isolation (SWISONET)
 - Update Observation Manholes (SWOBSMAN)
 - Update Service Lateral Connections (SWSERV)
 - Update pipe curve (SWCURVE)
 - If Associate Inspections option is checked:
- Update Smoke tests and observations
 - Update Lamp tests and observations
 - Update TV inspection and observations
 - Update PACP inspection and observations
 
 - Update Construction records (if option was checked)
 - Update Sewer Overflows (if option was checked)
 - Update Sewer Rehab records (if option was checked)
 - Update new sewer pipe elevations
- Upstream elevation data is populated from the pre-merged upstream pipe's upstream elevation data
 - Downstream elevation data is populated from the pre-merged downstream pipe's downstream elevation data
 
 - Update Work Requests (if option was checked)
 - Update Work Orders (if option was checked)
- Asset/Task associations are carried over to the merged pipe
 - Recalculates AS_WOCOST and AS_UNASGNCOST
 
 - Update PM/Work Template records (if option was checked)
 - Update Master Project records (if option was checked)
 - Archive or delete pre-merged pipes (based upon archive option)
 - Archive or delete structure (based upon option)
