Lucity provides several licensing options. Several of these options are explained below.
Types of Licenses
Named Product Licensing
In this setup users purchase a number of given licenses for each part of the Lucity program. Each license is 'used' while a user is in a related module, and is then released when the user leaves the module. For example somebody might have 10 seats of Water and 20 seats of Work. If a user has the Water Hydrant module open, the Water Pipe module open, and the Work Order module open, they would be using 1 seat of Water and 1 seat of Work.
In this situation you could have 100 users, but only 10 of them could be using Water modules at the same time.
Note: This does not affect Lucity Mobile.
Named User Licensing
In this setup users purchase their desired modules and a given number user licenses. Each license is registered to an individual user and is 'used'. This means that if you have 20 user licenses you can only have 20 users that are registered to login to Lucity. If any other users try to they will be denied because they do not have a license.
In this situation there are no specific limits the number of users that can get into a given module, but the users that can get into Lucity at all are limited to those that are authorized to.
Note: This type of licenses is a type of ELA license.
Note: Some licenses are not available under named user licensing.
License Agreements
Purchased Licenses
These licenses are purchased by the client and can be used for as long as the client prefers. Support is not tied to purchased licenses; instead, it is paid for separately.
ELA
Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs) are license/support packages purchased for a given amount of time. At the end of that time period, that license agreement expires, and the software cannot be used unless it is renewed.

SaaS
Software as a Service (SaaS) is a licensing and delivery method in which the software is licensed on a subscription basis. The software is hosted by Lucity, and the client accesses the software through the Internet.
