Clicking the Editable Grids button in the work task grid will bring up a view of editable grids. This allows users to enter and edit multiple resources of different types at once and fill out information about them.
Requires the Work > Work Orders > General - Add permission.
Grid Elements
The Editable grid page includes an editable grid for each type of resource that can be attached to a task. The grid that appears will be the same as the grid that is available for each resource in the web.
Title
At the top of the page is the Title. The Title displays the Work Order Number - Task Name - Task Start Date.
Add Resource
Adds an empty resource to the associated resource grid.
Requires the Work > Work Orders > General - Add permission.
Delete Resource
Deletes the resource selected in the associated resource grid.
Requires the Work > Work Orders > General - Delete permission.
# of Valid Records
Above each grid it lists how many records of that type are valid for the work order's category.
Example: Of all the employee's in the system only 8 are linked to the the work order's category so only those 8 will be selectable when using the editable grid.
Save
Saves all edits made to all grids on the page, and closes the page. Edits can also be saved by pushingCTRL+SHIFT+S.
Cancel
Cancels all edits made to all grids on the page, and closes the page.
Using the Grids
Sorting - Click on the column header in one of the grids to sort the records for that grid.
Tabbing - Push the tab button to move to the next field in the grid.
Specific Field Notes
Eden integrated fields - If a client is integrated with Eden they MUST edit the fields that are integrated with Eden (like Project Number) using forms.
Restricted fields - If a user doesn't have permission to edit restricted fields they will be able to edit them in the editable grid, however their edits in those fields will not be saved.
In the Editable Grids page find the grid for the desired resource and click the Add Resource button.
A new line will appear in that grid.
Click in a field and begin typing. If the field is a pick-list it will automatically look for any values that match what is being typed.
Note: When selecting resources only resources that are associated with the work order's Category will be available. The drop down that displays matching values will only show the first 20 matches. The more that is typed in the field the more it will filter down the possible list.
The Resource field must be field out.
Fill out other desired fields.
When completed without edits on this page, click the Save button in the top right corner.
Note: NO edits are saved for the entire page until the save button is clicked.
