POP3 Tab

The POP3 tab is used by the Request Generator to connect to the server to collect incoming emails.

On the machine the services are installed on go to the Start Menu > All Programs > Lucity Services > Lucity Request Generator Setup.
Select the Client that is to be configured and login. The following pop-up will appear:
Configure the Email Server that the Generator will retrieve emails from.
- In the Server Address field fill out the email server's name.
- In the Port Number field fill out the port that the request generator will access the email server through.
- Mark whether the generator should use SSL to access the email server.
  Note: If using SSL you must install the self-signed certificate for the mail server on the server where the services are being run. That certificate must be installed to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.
  
  Note: These settings are reflected in the Administration tool under System > Settings > Settings with custom interface tab.
Configure email addresses that will generate requests.
- Click the Add button. The following pop-up will appear:
- If you need to enter credentials click Change Credentials. This allows you to edit the User Name and Password fields for this session.
- Fill in a User Name and Password. This is the email that receive request emails from clients.
  - You can use the Show Password to display the password for this session.
- If desired fill in the Default Problem Code. All requests from this email address will automatically be assigned the associated Problem.
- Click Test to make sure the generator can connect to the email account.
- Click Save.
Configure more email addresses as desired.
When complete click Save.
Run the configuration for each additional client.

Server Address	The POP3 server's address
Port Number	The port the Request generator should connect through.
Enable SSL	Tells the program that it should be using SSL. This does not install a certificate.

Change Credentials	Enables the User Name, Password fields. If the User and Password were filled out previously the Password field is automatically cleared out when this is checked.
User Name	The email address that request emails are sent do.
Password	The password for the user.
Show Password	Displays what is being typed in the Password field. This will only display the password until the Save button is clicked.
