The Location tab fields store mapping information, such as map numbers, X and Y coordinates, and GPS information. This tab also features the following two grids at the bottom of the record:
The Field Ties grid allows you to document where an asset is located in the field (e.g. 2 feet from south side of house). This is especially useful for underground assets.
The Associations grid at the bottom of the record allows you to associate related assets with this record. For instance, you might link a water meter record with a service tap inventory record. Then you can view that associated record from the grid.
