At the top of the module window you will see header data. This data remains at the top of your screen as you use the tabs to navigate through the record. The header fields are described in the table below:

Hydrant ID |
This field contains a number automatically generated by the system. |
Hydrant Number |
This field allows you to enter a unique, alphanumeric identifier for the hydrant. |
Valve ID |
This field allows you to specify which valve is associated with the hydrant. To access the pick list, click on the field caption button or press F9. Note: The valve must already exist in the System Valve Inventory module and it must be classified as a "Hydrant" valve in the Classification field. Valves that are already associated with a hydrant will not appear in the pick list. |
Valve Number |
Upon selecting a Valve ID, this field will be automatically populated with the corresponding number from the System Valve Inventory module. |
Building No. (Address)

These fields allow you to specify the hydrant's street address. The address of the inventory record is made up of a building number and street name. With the street name validation turned on, the street names entered in the record will be restricted to those available in the current Street Name List. |
Note: The Hydrant Number field is required in order to save the record.
