Modifying a Filter

Another option for creating a filter is to use a pre-defined filter as a template. To modify an existing filter, open the Filter window and select the saved filter you wish to modify.

• If the "Sort" tab was used in creating the filter, the fields from the filter will appear in the "Selected" list. You can add new fields to the filter or delete current fields. Remember, you can click to clear the "Selected" fields and start over.
• If the "Address" tab was used, you can change any field using the field modifiers or add new fields.

If you wish to save a modified filter, you have the following options:

• Click if you want to replace the pre-defined filter with the modified filter.

  Note: The filter name will remain the same.

or

• Click if you want to replace both the filter name and the pre-defined filter. A window will then appear prompting  you to create a new name for the filter.

or

• Click if you want to save both the new filter and the pre-defined filter separately. A window will then appear prompting  you to create a new name for the modified filter.  

  Note: The pre-defined filter you used as a template will not reflected the new changes.

• To completely delete a pre-defined filter, highlight the filter and click .
