Threshold Limits

The Threshold Limits tab lists a range of acceptable values for each parameter that is checked during the inspection. The grid on this tab is automatically populated with data from the Threshold Values grid on the Equipment record's Inspection tab; however, Threshold records can also be added manually or loaded from a pre-configured list created in the Threshold Library.

Each Threshold record:

When a value for an Inspection field that is linked to a Threshold record falls outside the threshold range, the system automatically marks the Outside Threshold field and sends out the related Notification.

A sample of the Threshold Limits grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings.  An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.

How To Add a Threshold Record

  1. Right-click in the grid and select Add Record. The following window appears:
  2. Provide a name for the threshold in the Name field.

  3. In the Field field, identify the Equipment Inspection field against which the threshold should be measured.
  4. Enter a Low and High threshold.
  5. To send stakeholders a notification when the parameter falls outside the thresholds, select the applicable Notification Label.
  6. Save and close the record.
