The Slots tab provides information about equipment that is installed within the plant process.
Slots grid
This grid provides a list of slots within the plant process where different pieces of Equipment can be installed. Each slot then has a set of history records that appear in the second grid. The record that is selected in this grid controls which records appear in the bottom grid.
A sample of the grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings. An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) indicates whether data appear in ascending or descending order.
Double-click on an existing record to open it.
Right-click in the grid to add a record.
Right-click on an existing record for options to View Record, Add Record, Edit Record, Delete Record, and...
Install Equipment - Installs an equipment record in the selected slot.
Uninstall Equipment - Removes an equipment record from the selected slot.
Replace Equipment - Uninstalls an equipment record from the selected slot and installs another piece of equipment.
View Equipment Inventory Record - Opens the Equipment module and displays the record for the equipment installed in the currently selected slot.
Create Equipment Inspection Record - Creates an inspection record for the equipment installed in the currently selected slot.
Create Equipment Reading Record - Creates a reading record for the equipment installed in the currently selected slot.
Right-click on an empty slot in the grid and select Install Equipment. The following pop-up will appear:
Fill out the Date. This is required.
Use the Equipment field to select which piece of equipment should be installed into the slot. Click the field caption of press F9 for a list of equipment records.
Note: This list will only show equipment records with an Equipment Type that matches the slot's Equipment Type.
Enter a Meter Reading if desired.
The Action is automatically filled out.
Save and Close the record.
The piece of equipment will be installed in the slot and a record will be added to the Slot/Equipment History grid.
Right-click on the slot to replace the equipment in and select Replace Equipment. The following pop-up will appear:
Fill out the Date field. This is required.
The Equipment ID and Action fields are already filled out.
Fill out the other fields as desired.
Save and Close the record. The equipment will be uninstalled and a record will be added to the Slot/Equipment History grid.
The program will then automatically launch this pop-up:
