General Tab

The General tab records basic information about a pavement maintenance activity, including the maintenance program that was used, the maintenance type, the person or crew that performed the maintenance, the material used, the thickness the material, and the associated cost. The tab also provides a large text field in which a user can describe the maintenance task in detail.

Several fields in this tab have special functions, which are described below:

Field Name	Description
Pavement Type	The type of pavement found at the segment in need of maintenance. The system automatically completes this field using data from the associated Road Segment record; however, the user may edit this field, if necessary.
Surface Type	The type of surface found at the segment in need of maintenance. If this record represents the most recent maintenance, this information will be carried over to the Road Segment record's Surface Type field.
Pavement Strength	The strength of the material during maintenance. If this record represents the most recent maintenance, this information will be carried over to the Road Segment record's Pavement Strength field.
Override PCI	The PCI after the maintenance is performed. This will be used to update the most recent inspection for the road segment. If a Rehab Technique is selected in the header, the data in this field will default to the Reset PCI value from the Rehabilitation Techniques Setup module. This field also may be edited manually.
Set Override PCI Values	Enables users to indicate the Override PCI value to be applied: Mark the Reset Field Insp PCI box to use the value in the Override PCI field to update the PCI on the segment's most recent Inspection record in the Road Pavement Inspection module. If the Maintenance Date in the header is more recent than the date of the last Road Pavement Inspection record, the system uses the Override PCI value from the maintenance record.
