The Work Permit module has a notification feature that provides a way to quickly send emails to the contact listed on the permit. These emails could be used to send out reminders of checklist items, or that the permit is about to expire.
The email will go to every recipient in the email template's recipient list as well as the email address in the Permit Email field for the current permit, or each permit in the current filterset.
Permit Notification emails aren't triggered automatically. They are sent using the "Send Email Notification for Current Record" or "Send Email Notification for Filterset" functions found in the corresponding permit Toolkit.
Note: The Permit Email field on the Permit tab MUST be filled out for the notification to be sent.
Notification templates are created in the General > Notification Setup module. When the Work Permit toolkit functions are used, the user selects which template to use.
