When you enter a Fleet asset in the Work Order, the combination of the odometer reading and work order end date (on the WO tab) is used to update the current odometer reading and date on the Fleet inventory record under the Eval tab. The system compares the work order end date and the current odometer reading date (on the Eval tab of the Fleet record):
If the work order end date is LESS THAN the current odometer reading date, nothing is transferred; the vehicle information is NOT updated.
If the work order end date is GREATER THAN the current odometer reading date AND the work order odometer is LESS THAN the current odometer in the Fleet module, you will receive the following prompt stating that the odometer entered in the Work Order is less than the current Fleet reading.
If you select Yes on this prompt, the system will update the Current Odometer Reading and Current Date on the Eval tab of the Fleet module.
If you select No, you will be unable to save the Work Order.
If the work order end date is GREATER THAN the current odometer reading date AND the work order odometer is GREATER THAN the current odometer, BOTH the work order end date and odometer reading is transferred from the work order to the Fleet record. These will become the current values on the Eval tab.
