Test Kits Tab

Testers must use properly calibrated gauge equipment to test backflow preventers to ensure that they are working properly. This tab contains a grid tracking all test kits licensed to a testing company. These records allow you to record license details in addition to basic test kit data. You can view more detailed information about a test kit by Right-clicking on the record and selecting View Record.

To add a test kit record, complete the following steps:

1. Right-click in the grid and select Add Record. The following window will appear:

   

2. Include a unique Test Kit ID. 

   Note:  This is a required field; you must populate this field in order to save the record.

3. Indicate the Make and Gage Serial ID of the test kit.
4. Include the license expiration date. 

   Note:  If you choose to have the system validate test kits for your backflow tests, this field must be populated.  To enable this validation, the "BF Tests - Validate Company Licenses and Test Kits" option in Water Options must be turned on.

5. Indicate the status and status date
6. Included any comments in the field provided.
7. Click to save the record.
8. Click to exit Add Mode.
9. Click to close the window.
