WO/Req

This tab contains two grids allowing users to view and edit work orders and requests associated with this asset.

• To create a new work order, click on the module toolbar and the Work Order module will open.
• To create a new request, click on the module toolbar and the Request Module will open.
• To view or edit a work order or request, Right-click on the listing and select View Record.

  Note: Work orders cannot be edited or added through these grids.

Most WO tabs throughout the system contain two important fields:

• Default WO Category field - This field allows users to set up a default category for the asset. Multiple categories are available in the pick list. To view the categories, press F9 or click on the Default WO Cat button. When a work order is created, the default category and related asset information will be imported into the new work order record.
• No WO/PM/Req - When this checkbox is marked, users will be prevented from creating Requests, Work Orders, or PMs for the current asset inventory record. This will disable the Create Request, Create WO, and Create PM buttons. Additionally, the asset will no longer be displayed in the selection dialogs for the WO/PM/Request modules. This may be used for assets that are in the system but have been abandoned or are no longer used.

  Note: The Default WO Cat field appears in all inventory modules; however, its placement may vary. If this field does not appear on the WOs tab, check the other tabs in the module.
