Maintenance Tab

The Maintenance tab contains fields that provide information about the last rehab performed on the subsegment. These fields (Last Rehab and Last Maint Date) are automatically populated when a new maintenance record is created. There is also a grid that records all maintenance tasks performed on the subsegment. 

A sample of the grid appears below. Sort records in the grid by clicking on the headings.  An up or down arrow (highlighted in orange below) will appear signifying ascending or descending order.

• Right-click in the grid to add a record
• Right-click on an existing record to get a menu with options to View Record, Add Record, Edit Record, or Delete Record.
• Double-click on an existing record to open it

How To Add an Inspection Record

1. Right-click in the grid and select Add Record. The Pavement Maintenance module will open to a new record.
2. Fill out the Maint Date. This is required. The Subsegment Code is required too, but when adding a record this way it is automatically filled.
3. Fill out any other desired fields
4. Save
5. If this subsegment is associated to a supersegment, that has other subsegments attached to it, the following message will popup

   

   • Click Yes to save this record and create duplicate Maintenance records for each related subsegment.
   • Click No to save this record
6. Close the window.
7. The inspection record will appear in the grid and the Last Rehab and Last Maint Date fields will be updated on the Subsegment record.

This tab contains three grids allowing you to view and edit work orders, PM/Templates, and requests associated with this asset. At this time, only Scheduled PMs are displayed in the PM grid, not Grouped PMs.

• To create a new work order, click on the module toolbar and the Work Order module will open.
• To create a new PM template, click on the module toolbar and the PM/Work Template module will open.
• To create a new request, click on the module toolbar and the Request module will open.
• To view or edit a work order, PM, or request, Right-click on the listing and select View Record.

  Note: You cannot edit or add work orders, PMs, or requests from these grids.

In addition, many WO/PM/Requests tabs throughout the system contain two important fields:

• Default WO Category field - This field allows you to set up a default category for your asset. Multiple categories are available in the pick list. To view the categories, press F9 or click on the Default WO Cat button. When a work order is created, the default category and related asset information will be imported into the new work order record.
• No WO/PM/Req - When this checkbox is marked, users will be prevented from creating Requests, Work Orders, or PMs for the current asset inventory record. This will disable the Create Request, Create WO, and Create PM buttons. Additionally, the asset will no longer be displayed in the selection dialogs for the WO/PM/Request modules. This may be used for assets that are in the system but have been abandoned or are no longer used.

  Note: The Default WO Cat field appears in all inventory modules; however, its placement may vary. If this field does not appear on the WOs tab, check the other tabs in the module.
