Frame Setup

A Frame contains Plugins, which are Dashboard components used to display information. The Frame contains the Plugins and dictates how users interact with those Plugins.

Frame Properties

Name

Indicates the name of the Frame, as it is displayed in the Dashboard.

Span Frame

Indicates that the Frame should span the entire width of the Dashboard Tab page. By default, Frames are only half as wide as the page, allowing two Frames to appear side by side. The Span Frame option is useful in displaying reports.

Edit Frame

Enables an administrator to modify the frame.

Visible on Web

Indicates that the Frame should appear on the EAM Web Dashboard.

Visible on Mobile

Indicates that the Frame should appear on the Lucity Mobile Dashboard.

  • This icon only appears if the frame is set to appear on a Lucity Mobile Dashboard in Online mode and not Offline mode.
Mobile Offline Support

Indicates that the Frame should work in Lucity Mobile's offline mode. This preference tells the system to cache frame data on the tablet so that users have access to it when they are not connected to the network.

  • This icon appears in place of the Mobile icon if the frame is set to appear on a Lucity Mobile Dashboard in Online mode and Offline mode.
  • Note:   When marked the program will automatically consider any views attached to any data drills to be offline available as well.

Width

Sets a custom width in pixels for the frame.

  1. Open the Dashboard and the Dashboard Tab to which you would like to add a Frame.
  2. Select the Enter Design Mode Wrench enter design mode .

  3. Select the Add Frame button at the bottom of the Dashboard Tab. The following pop-up appears:

  4. Select Create a New Frame.

  5. Select OK. A new Frame is added to the Dashboard Tab and the Add Frame pane appears on the right:

  6. Enter a Name for the frame.
  7. Select the Frame Width using one of the following options:
    • Default: Make no selection to make the frame 50% screen width.
    • Custom: Enter a custom width in pixels > 10.
    • Span: Mark Span Frame to make the frame span the entire width.
  8. Complete other fields as desired.
  9. Select Save.
  10. Add plug-ins to the frame as desired.
  1. Open the Dashboard and the Dashboard Tab to which you would like to add a Frame.
  2. Select the Enter Design Mode Wrench enter design mode .

  3. Select the Add Frame button at the bottom of the Dashboard Tab. The following pop-up appears:

  4. Select Copy Another Frame. The tool expands and asks for the location of the Frame you want to copy.

  5. Select whether the Frame belongs to another User, is a Shared Tab, or is in a Shared Tab Group.

  6. Continue to make selections until you have located the Frame that you want to copy.
  7. Select OK. The program makes a copy of the Frame and places it in the current Dashboard Tab.
  1. Open the Dashboard Tab that contains the frame you would like to edit.
  2. Click the Enter Design ModeWrench enter design mode.

  3. Select the Edit Properties Pencil edit properties icon on the Frame you want to edit. The Edit Frame pane appears:

  4. Modify the Frame settings as desired.
  5. Select Save.
